Senegal for 7 Days

Day 1:

You will fly to Banjul [ The Gambia ] where we will transfer you to our chosen hotel for one night.In the morning we will then take the famous Banjul Ferry with all the goats, cars, people, for the 45 minutes crossing and on to the Senegal border, the border crossing should only take about 30 minutes.

Day 2-5:
We will travel to the Saloum Delta area where you will find Fork-tailed Drongo, African Harrier Hawk, Rufous-crowned Roller, Bearded Barbet, Tawny Eagle. Lizard Buzzard, Lesser Kestrel, Fine-spotted Woodpecker, African and Bruce’s Green Pigeons, and the beautiful African Swallow-tailed Kite, just to name some of the 300 birds that you may see. This will be our home for the next three days.

Day 6:
In the morning and after breakfast we will start to make our way back to the border of Senegal and the Gambia but on our way we will go to Fathala Nature Park where you will see Giraffes, Rhinos, Monkeys Zebra and other African animals as well as some bird species.We will get back to the Banjul Ferry in the afternoon for our ferry crossing and on to our chosen hotel for one night, where over dinner we will reflect on all the birds that we have seen, the people that we have met, and the animals that we have encountered.

Day 7:
The morning is free time to look around Africa’s smallest capital or just to walk along the excellent uncrowded beaches of golden sand before we set of around midday for our 40 minute drive to Yundum International airport for your return journey.
